2012 - 2015

By 2015, AGS had expanded to 4,000 FTEs, serving nearly 50 customers. The company established operations in Vellore and Hyderabad and opened three additional offices in Chennai, enhancing its capabilities in services, recruitment, and training. New service lines, including facility coding, inpatient facility coding, EMS coding services, hospital A/R management, denial management, and ICD-10 migration support, were introduced.

2016 - 2020

In 2019, AGS Health was acquired by EQT Private Capital Asia (formerly known as Baring Private Equity Asia). By 2020, AGS had grown to more than 7,000 FTEs, serving over 80 customers. The company’s global headquarters were relocated to Washington D.C and several new offices were constructed in Chennai, Vellore, Hyderabad, and Tirupati. The service portfolio expanded to include EDI enrollment, process automation, concurrent coding (CDI), facility outpatient CAC services, inpatient denial management, emergency department CAC, business intelligence implementation and migration, and coding audit services.

2021

In February 2021, KLAS Research awarded AGS Health the 2021 Best in KLAS for Outsourced Coding designation. Later that year, the company expanded its service with domestic coding operations and enhanced its technology offerings by acquiring EZDI, an AI-based clinical documentation and medical coding technology provider with an office in Ahmedabad, India. By this time, AGS Health had grown to over 10,000 FTEs and supported more than 100 customers.

2022

In June 2022, AGS Health expanded to Jaipur, India, increasing its workforce to 11,000 FTEs and serving over 140 customers. Later that year, the company launched the AGS AI Platform, featuring computer-assisted coding (facility and pro-fee), CDI, code auditing, and robotic process automation capabilities.

2023

In February 2023, AGS Health acquired Availity’s India-based patient access outsourcing business unit in Bengaluru, along with its Intelligent Authorization (formerly known as AuthPal) prior authorization automation technology. The following month, AGS Health announced its expansion into the Philippines, aiming to enhance business continuity and expand capabilities for patient outreach, clinical services, and end-to-end accounts receivable services.

2024

AGS Health was named the Most Improved Services Solution by KLAS Research in its 2024 Best in KLAS–Software & Services report after achieving a 14 percent improvement in client satisfaction with its extended business office services year-over-year. The company now employs a team of over 12,000 highly trained and college-educated RCM experts who directly support more than 150 customers spanning a variety of care settings and specialties, including nearly 50% of the 20 most prominent U.S. hospitals and 40% of the nation’s 10 largest health systems.
